I specialise in working with children with autism, and also have a wealth of experience in working with other disabilities and learning disorders, behaviour problems and mental health needs. I also offer 1:1 and group therapy sessions for autistic teenagers with anxiety and low mood.
When you are ready to start I will carry out an initial assessment. This takes around 3 hours, using tools such as the VB Mapp and Vineland Assessments. The report will be with you in a couple of weeks.
We then have a kick-off workshop with the whole ABA team and anyone you’d like to include from your family. During this I talk through your individualised ABA programme, modelling strategies and providing training and resources as needed, so that the tutors can then get started.
We will continue to have regular team meetings to review and progress the programme. Separate parent training sessions are also offered to give you a better understanding of behaviourism theory and ABA, as well as useful strategies to manage challenging behaviour.

I feel privileged to have worked with a large number of inspirational children, most of whom have a diagnosis of autism, and their incredible families. I am dedicated to empowering children and ensuring they get the most out of life, whatever their needs.

I started working in ABA at the start of 2010 as an ABA tutor, having previously worked with children with autism and other disabilities in the context of social care, social work and schools.

I now work on a number of home and school based ABA programmes three days a week, while working for the NHS for the other two days.

For these two days I am part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) team who work with children with learning disabilities. Here, I support children with mental health needs and challenging behaviour.

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in ABA, a Masters in Social Work and a Psychology BSc degree.

Outside of work I am blessed to have two beautiful children. The challenges and joys of parenthood enable me to see the work of ABA through the eyes of both parents and children, so that I can better meet the needs of both.
